Self-leveling underlayment in Mesa is a flowing cementitious overlay poured to create a flat, even substrate for coatings and coverings. It’s commonly used in home garages, workshops, and light-industrial sites where a controlled finished thickness is required before epoxy or other floor systems.
Mesa’s extreme heat and low rainfall change cure timing and on-site handling. We help arrange mixes and pour windows so the overlay cures under controlled conditions, and include surface profiling and crack repair in the scope. Typical depths run 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch for thin leveling and up to about 1 inch for pump mixes. Written estimates note overlay thickness, mixing method, and projected cure times so downstream work can be scheduled.
Practical expectations: the slab must be mechanically profiled and free of oils and loose material before pouring. Self-leveling will not correct structural instability or active slab heave; those require separate repair. Initial cure generally takes 24–72 hours depending on thickness and air temperature, after which sanding or light grinding prepares the surface for primer, base coat, and topcoat.
